Happy New Year Everybody.
Glad you all are back to come along for another ride.
Over/Under on how long it takes me to forget all about this blog and my posts become once a month (as a best case scenario)?
Now that 2019 is fully into swing I just wanted to give you all an update.
Today I decided to break my 2019 diet just to get it out of the way early. I know normally people try to stick to goals for a month or so before settling back into their old routines but me! I'm the type that likes to break the mold.
So, Blammo - Diet resolution Dead on Arrival!
I've decided that this is the year I start paying a lot more attention to what I am spending as well. I've got some expensive hobbies and with the new house and higher bills it would serve me well to actually pay attention to what I am spending and see where I can cut back. Last year we went a good portion without fast food and that is one of the big expenses that I plan on eliminating almost completely.
I've also been inching my way to cutting out most of my soda's and energy drinks and I feel that I'm on the wagon a lot more often than I am off the wagon over the past few months. I will continue to work on that goal as I feel I am really really close to having a great handle on it.
I hope you all have some good things going on for 2019 or are planning on getting them going.
Hit me up below and let me know if there are any real changes you plan on making and sticking too this year.
This year I have a couple of pretty simple goals that I want to achieve.
I want to read (actually read, with my eyes - this does not include audio books) 4 books. That is one every 3 months which I feel is obtainable. I've already been working on one to kick the year off and there is another that I started last year that I really want to finish. Knocking them off would be 50% of my yearly goal. I got this shit.
I also, due to recommendation, Plan on watching something about Recreational Parks. I'm not sure what it is but I was told that it is something I absolutely must watch because it is funny and I've done a disservice to myself by not even knowing what it is. This also should be pretty easily attainable. I'm going to look it up and see how many seasons/Episodes it has and just do a breakdown of how much I have to watch every month. Easy as Pie. Or is that easy as cake? I'd prefer cake. I'm definitely more of a cake person than a pie person.
Last year I dropped 15-20 pounds (It was closer to 20 pounds until all of the end of year hoopla so my goal is to continue my gradual weight loss with another 15-20 pounds. If I were to end the year sitting between 240 and 250 I would be happy with that progress.
Other than that I hope to spend a lot more quality time with my family, my wife and children. I want to cherish these moments before my kids grow old and turn into cranky teenagers. I want to help them develop into amazing people.
2019 is going to be an amazing year and I hope you all come along for the ride with me.
